I came to Congress on a platform to make peace the guiding principle in U.S. policy, both foreign and domestic.  I have been encouraged by the support for these ideals among my colleagues in Congress and have worked diligently to make them a reality.

I believe we must finally end the War in Iraq and shift American foreign policy to advance peace through diplomacy.
